The Covid isolation ward of the General Hospital "Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakaš" was opened in Sarajevo today.
On that occasion, the management of the General Hospital presented plaques in gratitude for the support.
The plaques were awarded to the representative of the Kingdom of Norway, Edis Arifagić from UNDP, Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Mario Nenadić, Minister of Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of Sarajevo Canton Jasna Agić, Director of the Sarajevo Canton Health Insurance Institute Sakib Katana.
President of the Board of Directors of the General Hospital Dr Sead Željo especially thanked SBB leader Fahrudin Radončić.
- This is the man who initiated something like this to be done. At that time, he was the Minister of Security of B&H and the President of the Coordination Body for the Protection of People and Material Goods. He recognized the demands of the profession and with his extraordinary efforts to empty the space that is being ceremoniously opened today and allocate it to the one to whom it belonged, ie the General Hospital. This area was excluded from us after the war. He was assigned as an office to the War Crimes Investigation Institute. It was necessary to urgently evict it and find a new facility for the Institute. This space was then made available to the FB&H Government and then ceded to cantonal institutions. It really took a lot of effort and coordination to find the right path in this legal jungle and to vote on decisions at the level of the FB&H Government and the Sarajevo Canton Government and enable this facility to start the investment - said Dr Željo.
