Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković and Minister of European Affairs of Germany Michael Roth discussed the migrant crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina today.
Minister Turković presented the current data on the number of migrants and the current conditions in which migrants live and spoke about the involvement of the B&H authorities in resolving this issue.
Minister Roth said that the European Union had taken part of the responsibility in the migrant crisis and that it is ready to continue to help, as well as that it is important for local authorities to show a certain degree of involvement in these processes.
The interlocutors agreed that it is necessary to deploy migrants throughout the country and that the burden of the migrant crisis should be borne by all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, adding that urgent action is needed to take care of migrants who are currently in a difficult situation.
During the talks, it was said that Germany is offering Bosnia and Herzegovina technical assistance in resolving the crisis, the Press Service of the B&H Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
