Mutap was questioned about the circumstances that are being charged against him, and he presented his defense today, says lawyer Dragović
Dupovac: What is he charged with?. Avaz
Hasan Dupovac, former chief of Traffic Investigations of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of the Interior, and Zijo Mutap, father of Alisa Mutap, Dženan Memić's ex-girlfriend, who were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of B&H this morning, were questioned in this judicial institution.
The information that Mutap was interrogated was confirmed for „Avaz“ by Goran Dragović, one of his lawyers.
- I can confirm that Mutap was questioned about the circumstances that are being charged against him. He presented his defense today and that is what I can tell you to begin with. We still do not know which measures the Prosecutor's Office of B&H will propose. Obviously they have some more investigative work to do. We expect that the prosecutor will make a decision whether he will go with a motion for detention or Mutap will be released - says Dragović.
We remind you that Mutap and Dupovac were arrested yesterday by members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) for abusing their position and obstructing the investigation in the "Memić" case.
They are also charged with the criminal offenses of assisting the perpetrator after the commission of the criminal offense and illegal mediation.
According to unofficial information which "Avaz" got, SIPA was looking for evidence related to the fact that the arrested Dupovac in 2016., immediately after the accident in Ilidža, hired two people to find a Renault Clio car, which has nothing to do with the accident in Ilidža.
Zijo Mutap allegedly helped him with that. This vehicle, which they found, although it is not a police investigator, was then handed over by Dupovac to the investigating authorities for further action. It is being investigated whether these people took money for that service.
