Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of B&H Staša Kosarac received today in Sarajevo the Ambassador of Greece to B&H Dimitrios Papandreou, with whom he discussed the improvement of economic cooperation between the two countries.
Košarac and Ambassador Papandreou commended the good relations between B&H and Greece, and pointed out that there were no open issues and expressed hope that bilateral cooperation would continue to develop for mutual benefit.
They discussed the upcoming visit of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Costas Fragoyiannis Costas to B&H, which is planned for April, if the epidemiological conditions allow it.
It was agreed that Košarac and Fragoyiannis would hold a bilateral meeting on that occasion in order to improve foreign trade and increase the volume of Greek investments in B&H.
Košarac and Papandreou especially emphasized the importance of cooperation in the field of tourism and agreed to visit Trebinje together in April, where they will discuss the organization of a tourist forum between B&H and Greece with the City Administration.
They agreed on joint activities to strengthen cooperation and better connect businesses from B&H and Greece, and announced that during the visit of Deputy Foreign Minister Fragoyiannis, they would define concrete steps in improving foreign trade.
Papandreou informed Košarac about Greece's plans to organize a Greek Culture Week in Banja Luka in May, which will be a good opportunity to promote tourism potentials.
Košarac expressed his gratitude to Papandreou for the donations in medical and protective equipment that Greece sent to health institutions in both of the entities in the past year to help in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, said the B&H Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations.
