Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik thanked today in Belgrade the Republic of Serbia and President Aleksandar Vučić for donating 20,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine to the Republic of Srpska.
After visiting the Torlak Institute with Vučić, Dodik said that "B&H has shown a complete failure to procure vaccines due to internal divisions."
-We in the Republic of Srpska have managed to provide vaccines, through direct procurement or donation, and 50,000 people have been vaccinated so far, and we estimate that we will speed up that process in the coming months- said Dodik, reports Tanjug.
He added that Serbia is a leader in terms of vaccine procurement and has helped and is helping Bosnia and Herzegovina, and there is also the possibility that B&H citizens will be able to receive the vaccine without special conditions in Serbia and pointed out that Torlak will solve the vaccine problem in the region in the long run.
The first series of control doses of the "Sputnik V" vaccine was filled at the Torlak Institute yesterday, and Vučić stated that he expects that production in these plants will begin soon, which will satisfy the needs of Serbia and other countries in the region.
