European Union donates 200 oxygen bottles to health centers

Head of the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina and EU Special Representative Ambassador Johann Sattler handed over today 200 oxygen bottles with accompanying equipment to the Otoka Health Center, which will be distributed to other health centers in the Sarajevo Canton, as part of EU support in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

This medical equipment, worth about 70,000 euros, consists of a ten-liter oxygen bottle, an oxygen reduction valve with a pressure flow meter and a humidifier with a patient mask.

The total value of medical equipment donated by the EU to the Sarajevo Canton so far is over 700,000 euros, the Press Service of the Sarajevo Canton said.

The procurement was coordinated by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in cooperation with the Sarajevo Canton Government.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the European Union has provided the necessary medical equipment throughout the country, including ventilators, X-rays, ultrasound and ECG devices, personal protective equipment and PCR tests, as part of all aid programs worth 7.76 million euros.
