The B&H Presidency member Milorad Dodik said today that after the consultation with the RS political party leaders, he decided to attend a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The Turkish president is scheduled to arrive in Sarajevo on Thursday night, and a meeting with members of the B&H Presidency is scheduled for Friday.

Dodik said that both his and the political party leaders' opinion was that he should attend the meeting because "the other two members of the B&H Presidency should not be allowed to attend the meeting alone with Erdogan".

He also reiterated that "the only solution to the latest crisis is the withdrawal of the law banning genocide denial imposed by former High Representative Valentin Inzko", and that without it, "there will certainly be no decision-making in the B&H institutions."

Speaking about the meeting with Erdogan, Dodik said that it was necessary not to allow only the views of the other two members of the Presidency to be heard.

Dodik says that they have had talks with the Turkish president about the motorway construction before and that the meeting with Erdogan is "a clear defense of Republic of Srpska and not a violation of the conclusions of the National Assembly."
