Gabriel Escobar, the special envoy of the State Secretary of the United States of America (USA) for the Western Balkans, will arrive in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sunday, November 7, the "Avaz" portal has learned.

As it was confirmed to us by several sources, he will stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina until Wednesday, November 10.

He is visiting due to an increasingly dangerous blockade

"Avaz" published this news at the beginning of the week, and the BiH institutions were officially informed about it today.

Escobar, who is also the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, will hold his first meetings with B&H leaders and members of the B&H Presidency in Sarajevo on November 8th.

He is visiting due to the increasingly dangerous blockade of state institutions led by Milorad Dodik and the announcement that the RS entity will unilaterally take over all state competencies.

During last week's address to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives on the engagement of the US administration in the region, Escobar dedicated a good part of his presentation to Dodik.
