Members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested four people today in the area of Mostar, Trebinje and Foča in the continuation of the operation connected to the drug boss Milan Matković.
The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina said that among the arrested persons was an active police officer, suspected of corrupt activities and the use of police capacities to assist suspects in the commiting of criminal offences.
"Avaz" learns that this is a member of the MUP of the HNK, who was arrested in Mostar. We learn that the arrested policeman is Miroslav Čalija.
Among those arrested is former police officer Dražen Šiniković, he was arrested in Trebinje. He is considered as a key associate of Matković.
Apart from Čalija and Šiniković, Vaslije Stjepić and Mitar Blagojević were also arrested.
The activities refer to the case in which international cooperation is realized after the decryption of encrypted applications, which were used by members of organized criminal groups in BiH, the countries of the region, the EU and the world - said the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
